Death Mark Wiki

NG (エヌジー), also known as Spirit Hunter: NG, is a horror game developed by Experience Inc. that was released in Japan on September 13, 2018, for the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation Vita. A spiritual sequel to Death Mark, it follows up on a different cast and setting from the original game, taking place five years later, but with connected characters, plot and gameplay elements.

A western release was announced at Anime Expo 2019 for October 2019 on the PlayStation 4, the PlayStation Vita, the Nintendo Switch, and Steam.[1] The PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions will be available physically and digitally, and the PlayStation Vita and Steam versions will be digital-only.[2]

It is the second game in the Spirit Hunter series.

"1999, Tokyo.
A young girl goes missing. Triggered by that event, a young man finds himself dragged into a game of death. Spirits from what most believed to be urban legends and folklore slowly eat away at his cursed life, draining his common sense. Don’t hesitate. Logic isn’t needed against them. Together with others like him who skirt the law, the young man clenches his fists and prepares to fight!

with the concept of Japanese horror’s “creeping fear,” NG is the second entry in the "Spirit Hunter"[1] series. Unlike the first entry, Death Mark, NG is a horror experience that plays out in a familiar setting, where the player confronts ghosts themed after fantasy and legends.

One of the traits of NG is its fusion of "outlaws" and "horror." It offers a never before done, unknown fear experience through its Fumiya Sumio-illustrated characters and profoundly in-depth scenarios.[2]

With the introduction of the new "Survival Escape" system, NG is an even greater production of "fear." Additionally, NG offers an even greater sense of uneasiness and tension with aspects like the "Crisis Choice" system where an error in judgment will prove immediately fatal or when "death" visits your companions.[2]
